The training program at "A Dog's Life" incorporates a variety of methods which are taught using positive reinforcement. Our Fun and Fair training program is tailored to each individual dog. We take into account the age and breed as well as any specific lifestyle needs of the owner. Free phone consultation is always available for any immediate questions that might come up.

The Basic Training Program normally involves a 14-day stay. It initially begins in a quiet home environment and then gradually progresses to more public settings. We will provide a complete review and demonstration with instructions, upon your pets return. Additional guidance is offered through a follow up lesson, at the clients' convenience, within a month of graduation. We also offer boarding to our previously trained clients where progress is reviewed, maintained and upgraded as needed.



Private lessons are available at the dog’s home, where Carla can work closely with the family in the dog's own environment, or lessons can be done here at “A Dog’s Life”.


Group Classes take place outdoors in the field. Class numbers are kept small, no more than 6 dogs, to ensure that all dogs leave having learned the behaviors. We offer basic, intermediate and advanced obedience. After class, instructor supervised playtime in the field is offered.
